A quantum computer for every household?

The prospects of quantum technologies are very promising, but it is a long way to go before quantum computers hit the retail market. The tasks that may require quantum computing to make a breakthrough across different domains of science and engineering are already clear. What will their impact be on the economy and society, and what can be expected of quantum technologies? Physical scientists from the world’s leading research institutes and laboratories focused on quantum computing, including the Institute for Complex Quantum Systems (ICQ) in Ulm, and the Laboratory of Quantum Optics Technologies at Moscow State University, the heads of Russian development institutes and government officials will come together on the forum’s first day to discuss a whole range of quantum-related issues. The session is moderated by Ruslan Yunusov, CEO of the Russian Quantum Center.
