Guto Requena is architect and master in architecture from the University of São Paulo. Guto is an investigator of cyberculture and of new technologies’ effects in architecture and design. For nine years he was a researcher at NOMADS.USP - Center for Interactive Living Studies of the University of São Paulo. In 2007 he got his master’s degree at the same university with the dissertation Hybrid Habitation: Interactivity and Experience in the Cyberculture Era, which mapped the transformations in residential constructions in the digital era.

In 2008 he funded Estudio Guto Requena and since then has created projects and provided design consultancy for clients like LG, Samsung, FIAT, Toyota, Walmart, Google, Nike, Converse, Heineken, Campari and Coca-Cola, developing projects in the fields of interior architecture, interactive installations, urban design, products and furniture. His projects stand out in national and international media and have been recognized by numerous awards. The architect had his works exhibited around the world with great recognition. In 2012 Guto was chosen to design Google’s head office in São Paulo.
Guto is an invited professor at Brazilian universities. He wrote a fortnightly Sunday column for the housing section of the newspaper Folha de São Paulo between 2013 and 2015. The architect has already ministered more than 100 keynotes, and in 2010 was awarded the Jovem Brasileiro Prize in the design category.

In 2011 Guto created, directed and presented the TV Show Nos Trinques for GNT channel and is currently developing the Design, Architecture and Urban Planning series for TV, cinema and internet.
