Project North Research Centre
Anton Kalgaev is an independent curator and writer. As a curator at the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design, he worked on the institute’s public programme in 2013 and co-curated “Fair Enough,” an award-winning exhibition in the Russian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2014. He published the books “Hypercube. Making the First Building in Skolkovo” (2015) and “Matrex” (2016) together with the architect Boris Bernaskoni.
In 2017, Anton participated in the international research project "The Age of Agglomerations," and also worked on the development of the sociocultural programme of Moscow’s Zaryadie Park. In 2015, Anton co-founded Project North, an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to the history, culture, sociology, nature, art, architecture, politics and economy of high latitudes.
