Dr. Ivashchenko is a professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MBA, Chairman of the Board, ChemRar High Tech Center, President of the Life Science Center of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), and an Honorary Professor of MIPT.
ChemRar group has seed-financed or spun-out a number of biotech companies involved in medical research including oncology, CNS, virology (including HIV), and drug formulation and production. He was a government advisor to the Pharma 2020 program and one of the key opinion leaders on industrial policy in Russia’s pharma Industry.
Dr. Ivashchenko is a co-founder of the Northern biopharmaceutical cluster built around MIPT, and conducts public and scientific work within the PHYSTECH XXI strategy to develop a modern technopolis around MIPT.
Andrey Ivashchenko is a member of various public and government organizations, including the advisory council of the Russian Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s advisory council on the development of the pharmaceutical industry, the subcommittee of the government commission for the protection of public health, and the supervisory board of the Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises.
In 2015, Dr. Ivashchenko headed the working group for the development and realization of the NeuroNet roadmap, part of the government’s National Technology Initiative. He has more than 50 certificates and patents, over 100 scientific publications in Russia and abroad, and has taken part in more than 1,000 international deals (including the U.S., Europe and Japan).
